This year certainly has been one of change and hardship, with just about everyone now seeing the effects of our economic status at the moment. During this time we at Humphris have tried as best we can to make taking care of your car as easy and painless as possible. We hope that our competative service prices and great offers on many of our SEAT & Hyundai Car Care products are helping you in this time. Our BlueCross Sale went well with a good number of cars being sold and the first three lucky customers went away with a brand new TV each, we would just like to say thank you for coming and supporting your local Garage and we hope you are enjoying the cars and your TV`s!

Hyundai and SEAT have also been changing things around somewhat themselves. Hyundai have been slowly going through the range revamping the models. So far we have seen the release of the ever popular i30, offering maximum features for minimum cost, and the i10 replacing the well loved Amica, offering fantastic value and ease of use around the city, and people are waiting with baited breath for the new Getz the i20 coming VERY soon. SEAT has also made a very big change to thier line up with the NEW IBIZA. The Ibiza was an iconic model as far as SEAT are concerned and the change in shape has gone down well. The five door and the three door Sports Coupe have seen great sucess and it is only going to get better with the diesels and the Cupra being released early next year.

There have been a few additions to the team recently in many departments, in Sales we have Luke Reeves and Mark Ellett, Hyundai and SEAT respectively, we have John Mills upstairs as our new Body Shop Guru, Julia Sturgeon joins us as our new Receptionist spreading some Geordie Joy! Its nice to see a few new faces so if you see them please do say hello.

We are trying to fight the Credit Crunch at the moment as everyone is so with that our manufacturers have given us some great offers to work with, SEAT we have some very generous finance offers, with Hyundai offering big savings on many of the cars. If it is a newer car you are looking for fear not we have a number of Pre-Reg Getz so give us a call, we are trying to offer you as many different ways as possilbe to allow you to change your car when you want to not when the markets say you should. As well as this try looking at one of SEAT`s Ecomotive range, we have the IBIZA, Leon, and Alhambra all with the new Ecomotive Spec providing huge MPG with excellent pricing.

One of the biggest pieces of news over the past few Months is of course SEAT dropping out of the BTCC. We would just like to say well done to the Drivers and everyone involved in the team for an amazing four years, we have seen some lows but some amazing driving and fantastic highs. On the plus side we can say a huge well done for becoming the World Champions both Drivers and Manufacturers Champions, something that we at SEAT are thrilled about and hope it shows everyone what SEAT is made of; come see our Fr and Cupra range and get a taste of what its all about!

We saw many of you at the car shows we attended this year and would like to say a big Thank You for all your support. We really enjoy doing the shows and a lot of that is due to the response that we get from them thankfully for most of them the weather was good so we can only be thankful for that.

Humphris Oxford Ltd and the BTRDA Motorsports Futures

Humphris Oxford Ltd has got behind the BTRDA Motorsports Futures competition to offer a lucky winner a session of various motorsport events behind the wheel of a Nissan Micra.

Humphris have been a Nissan agent since 1975 and have been invalid in Rallying Nissan Micra’s since 1995. They hold a large stock of competition parts for the Micra and have offered their services and some performance parts to the BTRDA Micra to make it an even better car to drive for the  lucky winner to compete in.

Matthew Humphris, managing director of Humphris Oxford said he was very pleased to be helping the BTRDA with the Micra; they are fantastic cars for anyone to start off in Motorsport. They are cheap, reliable and have become very popular over the last 10 years. We will be supplying and fitting one for our suspension kits, and checking the car over for its annual MOT and giving it a good service. The car has to be road legal and is driven to and from the various motorsport events proving that anyone can take their standard car, join a Motor club like the BTRDA and have some great fun in a safe and controlled environment.
